Iconic Tucker Torpedo Being Revived!



Artists, gear-heads and lovers / collectors of classic post-WWII automobiles will be thrilled to learn a 1947 concept car designed by Preston Tucker is being brought back to life. 
The top photo seen here is 1947 ad copy for the futuristic Tucker Torpedo.
The timeless, striking design seen in the lower, rear-view photo of a 1948 Tucker '48
was nicknamed the "Torpedo" but that was not it's name.
The 1948 Tucker was simply called the Tucker '48.

Although ultimately vindicated in court, albeit 2 years too late,
this promising, up-start car company was crushed by the U.S. government
and the nefarious behind-the-scenes-efforts of the other auto manufacturers of the day.
