I had a 2-door / 2-tone '55 Merc just like this one in the late 60's. It was my very first car. Always liked the hooded headlights. This was the best selling car Mercury ever designed & produced.... EVER! - - PS: I love this webpage and FB link.

DAKAR RALLY - World's Greatest, Longest & Most Difficult, Rally Race!

January 5th to January 20th, 2013 . . .

FYI:  The event is televised by the owners of the Dakar Rally to various networks worldwide... in 190 countries.  In the USA it will be shown on either SPEED, Velocity, or one of the ESPN Channels. Check your local listings.  The race starts on Saturday, January 5th... but I'm not sure of the time.  Everyone should be able to find something to relate to and cheer for... be it driver (male & female) or a vehilcle that they own.  Enjoy!

My Great Aunt Made the Front Page!!!

This is a link to the story and photos about my "Great Aunt", Dorothy (White) Errair who is 93 years old and made the front page of the Oakland Press newspaper in Michigan.  If the last name sounds familiar that's because Dorothy is the sister-in-law of Ken Errair of FOUR FRESHMEN fame and was married to life-long Hollywood actress Jane Withers (Josephine the Plumber, Shirley Temple movies, etc., etc.)  Ken was born in Detorit in 1928 and died tragically in Southern California in 1968 in a small airplane crash.  Dorothy is the wife of Bill Errair, the brother of Ken.  Dorothy has always been very active and quite accomplished at everything she's ever done... as this well-deserved article describes.  I love her and have always been proud of her.  She is truly a special person.
